It was good to see so many of our young athletes enjoying this popular annual event where they competed in various events ranging from jumps, throws, relays, and obstacle races. With all the supporters this made for a fun packed and at times very noisy action packed afternoon.
The eventual winners for a 9th time were Northern AC’s blue army followed by Western and Manx Harriers. Thank you to all the officials and helpers who managed to get the event set up and put away in record time and of course the Coop for their continued sponsorship. See you all again in 2014.

Big Well done to club runner Jason Moore on yet another top performance at the Inter-counties cross country, where he finished an impressive 93rd out of 276 other county runners.
Afterwards he was heard to say that "starting at the back of the field didn't help and apparently you could see me on the coverage on sky sports which probably made most people turn over ;)"
But to finish inside the top 100 in his county debut in this event is a brilliant effort! and should improve his ranking.
